Jack doesn’t know about the immediate threat. Jack can’t know. Ianto will make sure of it.

... And... A quick glance toward the computer station, and Ianto knows he won’t be here when Jack returns.

Ianto wishes they had more time together... But time is the very thing of which they have none left... Staring at Jack, trying to memorize his face, Ianto forces a small smile and hopes it looks sincere. He can barely breathe for the inescapable doom pressing in on them, but he is the loyal soldier, and this is his final part to play. For Jack.

And when Ianto forces out reassurance he doesn’t believe, hope he doesn’t feel as his voice breaks, saying “We’ll be fine,” what he really means is, “Goodbye.”

With the author's habit of breaking apart the boys... *pointed glare* ... you can more than expect a very angsty ride! It's an immensely intriguing take on the concept of one character retconning another in order to protect them from the evils of the world...

I absolutely LOVE this story because like many of you, I very much dislike the fact that much of Janto relationship happens off-screen. They show it in fast-forward; a kiss under the pretense of CPR, then *BHAM!* proposition for sex, then *BHAM!*, then an actual kiss, then *BHAM!* date, etc. I mean, I can understand that they can't show everything because of time constraints and whatnot, but that doesn't stop me from being annoyed. Anyway, this is all that in slow-motion. The slow burn of heat and anticipation is enough to drive anyone crazy! But I love it, anyway! ^______^

This is probably one of THE most disturbing, horrific, and twisted stories I've EVER read! The material is just so squeamish and the author magnificently molded this from the very depths of a distorted and demented mind... I LIKE!! XD

Jack's desperation and then pain towards the end is very poignant and the depth of Ianto's insanity as it over-takes him just... *shudders*

So, PLEASE READ THE WARNINGS!

It's an absolutely BRILLIANT fic! Utterly INSANE, but BRILLIANT none-the-less! As far as I know, she's the only author to have delved into the realms of "necrophilia."
