Comment or Excerpt from fic: Hero!Ianto, here we come! Ianto finds an alien device in the archives and Ianto unknowingly makes his heart's most desired wish, to always be there for Jack in his desperate time of need. Now, the device grants his wish and sends Ianto on the most unexpected journey.

Ianto couldn’t take his eyes off the device... God it was beautiful... So…simple in design.
... Heart’s desire. Whatdoyouwant?...
... He wanted Jack to be happy. Wished there was someway he could always be there for him, even though he knew that was impossible.
Whatdoyouwant? Heart’s desire. Whatdoyouwant? Whatdoyouwant?
... “I wish I could always be there for you. When you need me the most,” Ianto whispered.
He finally heard it then. The music was back, the sudden surge of emotions. It made his heart pound, his hands sweat, his mind sing.
Looking up, he saw the stunned expression on Jack’s face before he vanished.
