Comment or Excerpt from fic: Aah, this fic is just heartbreak. The episode went so fast-paced, but this fic just shows the repercussion of Jack being buried for so long and it'll be a long, long time before he's healed...

EXCERPT:

Jack felt his blood run cold and looked down at his own shaking hands, searching in the low light for any traces of mud. Upon finding a dark smudge across the centre his palm, he opened his mouth to call out to the retreating form of his young lover, but the words wouldn’t come. They lodged in the back of his throat and formed a cold, hard lump, like the memory of ancient dirt, until he was choking back a sob.
