Comment or Excerpt from fic: Oh anduria_trianys just hits a few of my kinks with this fic... *starry eyed* As much as I adore mythology of any kind, I've first been introduced to Greek and I'm a fanatic in that sense! Anyway, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the rift has been acting crazy and been sending Janto through space and time. As the summary states, their latest trip brings them to Ancient Greece in the 10th year of the Trojan War. Being in a time and place where one doesn't belong puts them in a precarious position as is, but knowing what will happen, will Jack and Ianto let events occur in their natural order or will they attempt to chance events, inadvertently changing history as they know it, consequences and paradoxes be damned?

He smiled as he recalled the little sojourn to Rome – the reign of Hadrian... Although, now he came to think about it... Ianto’s eyes widened in concern and he stared...

“... Last time I looked, Rome didn’t have a beach, so…where are we?”

Jack frowned. “We seem to be in the middle of the sea... but... then, I suppose the right question isn’t ‘Where are we?’ but ‘When are we?’ Because you’re right; this is not Rome – and those over there look to me like they could be Greek ships.”

... together they swam towards the shore... several tents and campfires came into view, all set up beside the ships. But what they saw as they came closer were several large wood pyres, some of them still smoking.

“My God!” exclaimed Jack. “Just – when are we?”

Ianto... realised what his partner was saying... saw the sheer depth of his emotions displayed openly... “Jack…” he whispered, drawing him into his arms... Jack’s arms were around him and he was leading him through the water in a tender dance to the music of the beating waves mirroring the rhythm of his heart.

“I’ve wanted to do this for so long,” Jack murmured into his hair... “Just…stand here, with you, doing what we’re doing... You and me, right here; holding each other and dancing in the Aegean…that’s all I want right now. I just want to be right here…just with you, right here.”

Being hooked on to it ever since, I'm surprised I didn't rec it already! ^^;; Anyway, Jack is forced to attend a U.N.I.T. conference in Scotland... All alone. But before he gets a chance to kill U.N.I.T. in anger, he gets one HELL of a surprise! His trip doesn't look all that boring at all now!

All I can say is that this fic's FUNNY! And CUTE! And ROMANTIC! And just makes me want to swoon!

Spending three days at a large estate in the rolling hills of Scotland would have been ideal under any other circumstances, but being forced to attend a U.N.I.T. conference wasn’t Jack’s idea of a good time... His reverie was interrupted... “Ach, there you are Captain... Your Aide asked me to... let you know that he had arrived...”

“My AIDE?” Jack asked, dumbfounded... “Who the hell is passing themselves off as my Aide?”... As Jack strode along the wide corridors, he got angrier and angrier. Bloody U.N.I.T. was always interfering. The last thing he needed was some flunky paper pusher following him around for the next three days... He had barely stepped into his room... when he felt someone pinning him to the back of the door and kissing him with fierce intensity. Light bulbs and fireworks rocketed through Jack’s brain at the same time.

“Ianto, oh Ianto,” Jack whispered against the other man’s mouth.

Comment or Excerpt from fic: YES! I read this the first time on FF.net and fell immediately in love with it! The author's just transferring it over onto LJ, so until then, enjoy the fic! ^________^

The way the author writes Ianto is a special favorite of mine, but the interactions between the characters shows a change that they went through with their experiences. Meaning, Ianto is hardened more with the loss of Tosh and Owen as is Jack, and yet Ianto's strength is shown very beautifully. The Janto relationship is much stronger now as Jack is shown to be a tad bit more open and dependent on Ianto...
