Title: First Time for Everything
Author:  [livejournal.com profile] criccieth
Genre:  backstory, angst, drama, ect
Rating:  NC-17
Summary: All relationships have their stages and their first moments
Status: Incomplete, looooong
Warnings: Sex, domestic abuse, suicide attempts
Comment: This isn't the sort of background I normally buy for Ianto, but the details and emotions are so vivid here that it's hard not to buy it. The story is shaping up to be complicated and full of interesting interactions between Jack and Ianto, some of which looks like it has/is going to involve a sort of time travel. Updates are long in coming, but seeing as the length of each section is ridiculous, I'm not going to complain too much.

For two years Ianto has been doing his best to forget, to bury the memories. And now, if Harkness does turn out to want what Oliver wanted…It won’t be the same, he tells himself firmly. Won’t be trapped. Won’t be a prisoner this time. As soon as she’s better, we’ll leave. Slowly, his hands stop shaking. Lisa, he reminds himself. It’s for Lisa. Whatever it takes, remember? Doesn’t matter what it costs. You can handle it. It’s for her. But he feels so cold.

Oh boy...

Length: One-shot / Part 1 of the "Conversations" series

Comment or Excerpt from fic: If the episode wasn't so serious and angsty, I would've spent more time wondering this, too! *ROFL*

“OK Team listen up! Your esteemed leader has a flawlessly brilliant plan... Tosh in the front, Rhys you drive, me, Gwen, Owen and Ianto in the back... Ianto you can sit on my knee.”

Excuse me!!...No wait. Jack I’m NOT sitting on your knee...”

“Wait one minute... I’m not risking... penalty points if I’m caught with you lot in the back of my car.”

“It’s OK Rhys, if the police stop us Jack can just offer to let them sit on his knee.”

“Now, now Ianto take it like a man.”

“Don’t worry Rhys we’ll just flash our Torchwood badges and... if that doesn’t work you can always flash something else.”

Title: Coffee Confessions
Summary: The progression of Jack and Ianto's relationship from anger to lust, and finally to something more.
Word Count: ~ 23,968 / 14 TOTAL
Comment or Excerpt from fic: This is the author's take on the back-stage happenings of Jack and Ianto's relationship. I absolutely LOVE this story because like many of you, I very much dislike the fact that much of Janto relationship happens off-screen. They show it in fast-forward; a kiss under the pretense of CPR, then *BHAM!* proposition for sex, then *BHAM!*, then an actual kiss, then *BHAM!* date, etc. I mean, I can understand that they can't show everything because of time constraints and whatnot, but that doesn't stop me from being annoyed. Anyway, this is all that in slow-motion. The slow burn of heat and anticipation is enough to drive anyone crazy! But I love it, anyway! ^______^

Title: Journey to Jack
Summary: After Captain John Hart leaves and the team have to avoid themselves, Ianto tries to come to terms with Jack's return.
Word Count: ~ 23,811 / 14 Interlude TOTAL
Comment or Excerpt from fic: These are TW S2 gap stories using BBC's Captain's Blog, very much similar the the S1 ones named "Coffee Confessions" recced HERE. It starts with Post-KKBB and goes from there!

Jack was back.

He’d barely had time to think about what that meant, let alone how he felt considering everything that had happened. The damned blowfish taunting him, his hands shaking so badly he wouldn’t have hit the wall with his bullet, much less the alien. Captain John Hart and his bloody diamond. God, the goose chase alone was enough to frustrate Ianto, but the attacks on the team. His team, his friends. Ianto drew in a deep breath to try and calm his rising anger.

Jack was back.

And Ianto hadn’t a clue what that meant yet.

Title: The Next Time She Sees Them
Author: [personal profile] audrarose
Genre: Romance, Hurt/Comfort
Rating: PG13
Summary: Gwen walks in on them again. Coda to Fragments.
Status: Complete
Length: Oneshot
Warnings: None
Comment or Excerpt from fic: Post-Fragments fic where Gwen walks in on them, AGAIN, and gets a surprise when she sees just how much Jack cares about Ianto. I'm surprised this one hasn't been recced before since it's such a lovely fic.

Stops dead with her body frozen and her face burning, afraid to move because this time she can't just laugh and announce her presence; she knows she isn't supposed to see this. No one is supposed to see this... stillness, in the sprawl of pale skin over gold, with Ianto's dark hair tucked under Jack's chin, his eyes closed as Jack stares at the ceiling. Long seconds pass while she holds her breath, finally taking a slow inhalation when she realizes that they have no idea she's there.

Unbelievable that they're so unaware. Idiotic, really -- they should know better and she should just stand up and back away but... she can't. She can't take her eyes off the light touch of Jack's fingers over Ianto's skin, a hypnotic caress that carefully avoids the bulky white bandages, and for a moment it's like she can feel that touch herself.

Title: It's Not About Knowing
Author: [livejournal.com profile] andromeda05
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, General, Romance
Rating: PG
Other/Implied Pairings: Gwen/Rhys
Summary: Ianto looked at her seriously for a moment, before pursing his lips, taking a deep breath and looking her dead in the eye. “Because Gwen, love’s not about knowing, it’s about realizing that not knowing isn’t important.”
Length: One-shot
Word Count: 2,057
Warnings: post-Torchwood 2x12 "Fragments," non-existent 2x13 "Exit Wounds" and just for the whole of Torchwood season 2
Comment or Excerpt from fic: Okay, so I only remembered that I had wanted to rec this fic after seeing Bea-chan reccing the Demands & Silence fic, so better late than never... heh... ^^;;

It's not necessarily Gwen-bashing, per say, but Ianto takes it into his hands to make sure she stops undermining Jack's authority at every turn... *grins* I LIKE, especially because it's usually JACK that's telling her off, but he tries to be so patient and nice and tries to sugar-coat, probably because he likes her and he doesn't want to hurt her (which Gwen takes advantage of), but Ianto doesn't have any reservations of that sort, so I'm glad he just comes right-out and just tells her...

The first time... Jack had looked at her in the eyes; the woman who’d almost sacrificed herself for everything and expressed her undying love for about a man who loved her in return, shrugged and whispered, “Doesn’t matter...”

The second time she’d asked... Jack stood his ground, like the Captain he was, but Ianto could see it... he could still see the pain, the ache in Jack’s eyes. He didn’t want to keep secrets, but he had to, for the sake of all of them.

... Jack barely told him anything. There were times when Jack was enigmatic at best. Jack kept some things to himself, and Ianto could live with that, there are some things that people aren’t meant to know, learn or see—because if they did they probably wouldn’t survive.
