He muttered under his breath about... his colleagues... they knew he had plans for later. Thinking about those plans, however, soothed his ruffled feelings, bringing a smile to his face. His life had taken an unexpected turn, and it took him a while to come to grips with that – but now he was looking forward to the joys and challenges waiting for him... Ianto turned... almost running into his captain... and... felt a familiar flutter in his stomach and the quickening of his heart beat. The fact that he still reacted like this to Jack’s mere presence embarrassed him, and he glanced quickly away... and escaped the Hub to prepare... He was distracted, planning, worrying – and he didn’t notice Jack watching him leave. He didn’t notice Gwen walk up behind him, cross her arms and frown.

But before he gets a chance to kill U.N.I.T. in anger, he gets one HELL of a surprise! His trip doesn't look all that boring at all now!

All I can say is that this fic's FUNNY! And CUTE! And ROMANTIC! And just makes me want to swoon!

Spending three days at a large estate in the rolling hills of Scotland would have been ideal under any other circumstances, but being forced to attend a U.N.I.T. conference wasn’t Jack’s idea of a good time... His reverie was interrupted... “Ach, there you are Captain... Your Aide asked me to... let you know that he had arrived...”

“My AIDE?” Jack asked, dumbfounded... “Who the hell is passing themselves off as my Aide?”... As Jack strode along the wide corridors, he got angrier and angrier. Bloody U.N.I.T. was always interfering. The last thing he needed was some flunky paper pusher following him around for the next three days... He had barely stepped into his room... when he felt someone pinning him to the back of the door and kissing him with fierce intensity. Jack stepped away... the admission had taken the fight out of him. He looked so tired Ianto forced himself to bite his lip to stop himself whimpering. He hated seeing Jack in pain of any sort... Mental pain he couldn’t make better with kisses... Slowly an idea formed... It was a risk and he wasn’t sure he could pull it off but he knew it was what was needed. It was what Jack needed him to do.

He stepped forward, taking Jack’s hand said softly, “Let me help... Let me help ease the burden... I don’t mean just work, Jack. I mean everything. For one night, just let go of everything. No decisions, no thinking, nothing - just let go. Let me take care of everything... Let me take care of you.”
