Ianto took in a deep breath, he knew exactly what that entailed and... it could only mean trouble... he stood up slowly and... turned to look at Jack, trying to convey in a glance that he knew that it was unavoidable and that he accepted the task. He could make out the words ‘I’m sorry’ on Jack’s lips and nodded.

Jack's not sure how Gwen finds the ability to look truly shocked by this idea, but she does. "Don't tell us you got banned for shagging someone in a pub," she says slowly.

Sometimes, it's like his team doesn't even know him. "Trust me, I never get kicked out for that," Jack says, grinning. Then he sees the unimpressed expression on Ianto's face. "Not that I've tested that recently."

Having watched only the last two episodes of DW so far, I must admit that this fic can be made into actual cross-over episodes should anyone consider it! It's fast-pased and exciting and we meet characters that were lost to us again and that just made be cry others that just made me want to maim them... BUT! It's a marvelously written fic and very complex and so very exciting!

But at times, I was forced to wonder how multiple paradoxes didn't occur since characters... *coughJackcough* DO cross their parallel selves... ^^;; But even so, a MUST READ!

palmface and was delivered with this piece of brilliance! This is AU, as it states previously, with total disregard for TW S3 character speculation. Now that I think about it, I haven't read many post-EW fics that have TW3 recruiting OCs and not the usual characters (Mickey, Martha, maybe Tom)...

Anyway, the POV jumps every alternate chapter in the fic and so far, it's a very interesting fic with almost all genres - humor, action, romance, angst, etc. Exciting and enjoyable!

Comment or Excerpt from fic: I have a deep love for any fics that show the journey of a character through life, their growth both mentally and physically. And in Torchwood, the journey of Captain Jack Harkness in one of the more interesting subjects, especially because of his immortality. I can honestly say that when I read this fic, one of the first words in my mind was "Perfect." It's a wonderfully written piece!

There'd been rift activity... and... Toshiko... had picked up five sudden energy spikes from various locations... They'd found five devices... and they were building up to a timed discharge that would take out all of Cardiff... They couldn't be moved and they couldn't be stopped without a 17-digit code... Luckily for them, they'd been able to video ID four... who'd set the devices. The fifth... managed to stay in CCTV blind spots... they'd been heading out to bring in the four for questioning. They'd all split up, and Ianto had accompanied Jack, getting briefed... during the drive since his headset... had gone dead and nobody had been able to contact him all morning... The man they were tracking had apparently gone to work as usual after rigging the device...

Mr. Parked seemed confused at a visit by Torchwood, but he didn't act like he had anything to hide. He also paid more attention to Ianto than Jack. Jack took an instant dislike to the man.
