Okay, so because itoshii_chan is so awesome in keeping up with updates for the Rec Masterlist (I FAIL LOL), I've deleted the old masterlist. Since it hasn't been updated in months. D: (And to prevent some confusion, since some people have been checking this masterlist instead of the old one to see if a fic has been recced, totally my fault! I should've done this months ago!)

ETA: Since itoshii_chan is on hiatus, the masterlist will be updated by misswinterhill for the moment! <3

This community is a great idea and I think you really do need a master list.

Can I make a suggestion though. I would put some more emphasis on the here links, it's hard to notice as it is a very similar colour to the rest of the text.

Obviously fell free to ignore me, I won't be insulted :P I realize this is your community and you can do things anyway you want to :c)

Btw one question. I was told by someone that the old layout made it hard for people to read so hmm, I was wondering if it is easier to read now since I changed it? ^_^ Sorry for bothering but haha I'm very curious.

I don't really remember what the old layout looked like :S

It is easy to read but personally I think it could do with some more colour...this however may be something to do with my aversion to grey :S

If you ever wanted any help with the community I'd be very willing. My html is quite good and I'm sure I could relearn the stuff I have forgotten. Feel free to say no :c)

This is such a great idea! Thank you for putting so much effort into this!

Could I perhaps make a suggestion?
That list is growing fast and will continue to do so hopefully. You should think about dividing the fics into a handful of categories so that the list is more intelligible.

The categories could be anything really: the rating, the subject, the episode the fic is relating to, the season it's set it, etc... You don't need a lot of those, just a few.

Then when new people come by the community and have a craving for a certain type of fics, they'll know immediately where to look for them.
It just struck me as I was looking at the list today, I didn't know where to start and didn't have the time to read all of the comments!!

Obviously you don't have to do this, it was just a thought. Perhaps this doesn't have anything to do with what you're trying to do here, and I'm completely off topic. Sorry if that's the case.

:D It's okay, I really appreciate people suggesting things, since I really want to make the community better and everything, and it's thanks to people like you who give out suggestions that make this possible :P

Hehe, this list is more like a guideline so that people can know which fics have already been posted as recs to um avoid people reccing the same fic, but I totally understand what you're trying to say!

It got me thinking though, since you're right, people do come craving for certain types of fics. :D

Which is why I'm going to add tags with the ratings, status, etc. I still need to add the categories to the tags though :D

I'm glad you're taking this into consideration because I really do believe this community would be even better if everything was neatly tagged ;)

Although, if you're tagging all the entries with specific details, you really don't need to do the same work twice and add categories to this list.
Maybe make a list of all the tags or have them neatly presented in the column on the left or something, so that they're easy to find for the newcomers?
Just an idea.

Well, the funny thing, I'm pretty new to this fandom as I've been addicted to it for only a few weeks, but the firt thing I regreted was not to find a com like this with a rec list to get me started ;)

I'm partial to a certain type of fics (aren't we all?) and certain characters, and that's what I wanted to read!! In the end, I did find what I was looking for, but it wasn't as easy as it had been in other fandoms...

So this is really a wish come true!

I'm a huge fan of angst and h/c fics, or the ones about character development.
That's what I look for in every fandom (or they find me really), even if I'll read about everything, in the end those are the ones I enjoy the most.

I like a little bit of everything when it's well-written. xD But yea character development is a huge plus for me. :D

I also like Doctor Who crossovers, and crackfic. :D I also like to read angsty fics but they must have happy endings! I'm a sucker for those :3

I totally love this community, thank you so much for updating so regularly with new recs!

I think I read a WIP that was recced here a while ago. The only thing I can remember about it specifically was a scene where Ianto went to sleep in Jack's quarters, but not the room we saw in the show, a bigger one further down in the hub with a million little floating lights.

I don't know if there is such a thing as a torchwood story finders community, but I thought maybe you would recognize the story that I'm looking for. Any ideas oh what it might be? Thanks!
