Jack hadn’t slept, he had just laid there watching Ianto, watching how his face softened into that of a child’s. With his eyes shut and his dark lashes fanned out, his pink lips used and plump from Jack’s brutal kisses, Ianto looked like an angel.

And the body that he hid so nicely under those suits of his was that of a swimmer, toned and extremely limber.

The annoying beeping coming from Ianto’s watch, which rested somewhere on the floor of Jack’s bedroom, had made the tension come back to Ianto’s sleeping face. Jack knew that every second of his waking day Ianto was haunted with voices and memories and perfume that he could never again get back. The only time Jack saw Ianto so at peace was when he slept or when he was inside him, fucking the ghosts right out of him until all he could think was more and harder.

Jack wanted to get up and stop the noise so that the innocence would return to Ianto’s face but he guessed the beeping meant it was time to get up. He knew one thing, Ianto would be staying over again. He liked seeing him like this first thing in the morning and he certainly liked having something to do, something to look at in the dark of night besides his own demonic ghosts.

“Ianto,” Jack whispered as he reached out and stroked the Welshman’s warm back.

Ianto sighed and his eyes fluttered open slowly. For a second there was a look of such sleepy innocence that Jack wished he still had a time travelling ship so that he could go back and fix it so that Ianto had never lost that.
