I wanted to rec something that shows hope and strength in times of tragedy and sadness. I remember reading this fic a few days ago and suddenly, I remembered it, especially because it's based on "Adrift" and it was an emotional episode in itself - Jack's vulnerability, Ianto's strength, the hurt and sadness and despair through which they endure... together... and try to help the victims to the best of their ability...

EXCERPT:
Something was wrong. Ianto knew that much. Ever since Jack had joined him in the SUV, the older man had been quiet, almost thoughtful. It wasn’t that Jack was inattentive... but Ianto could see a heaviness in Jack’s face and as he looked into those blue eyes he adored he cloud see a cloud – a cloud that shouldn’t be there, and it was getting heavier.
“You okay?”... Jack jumped at the question then flashed a grin - except the grin didn’t reach his eyes. Nor did he answer the question. They carried on... in relative silence. Ianto was starting to get worried... “... Jack seriously - what’s wrong?"
... Jack... just turned and looking down at Ianto, replied wearily, "Gwen... She was asking about Johan Bevan...”
Ianto’s head shot up and his heart fell...
