Comment or Excerpt from fic: I swear, I never realized just how hard it is to write summaries to fics! I have special respect for authors now... *LOL* ^^;;

Now, about the fic... It is a beautifully written one! Just one of those fics that make me want to sigh dreamily and melt into a puddle of goo. It is a gorgeous extension based off of the whole last-dance with the original Captain Jack Harkness and the now!Jack's feelings on that matter. I loved how the author incorporated the songs and the feelings into the now and her vulnerable!Jack is wonderful to see, especially when there is a strong!Ianto there to hold-up and bind the pieces of a broken man with his love and understanding. Of course, her perceptive!Tosh is a plus! ^.^

EXCERPT:

He closed his eyes trying to block the song from his brain. It didn’t work. All he could feel was the emotion of that dance he’d shared, that one kiss before he’d been ripped back to the present day...

“The last time I heard that song, I…” he paused unsure how to put it in words... “I lost someone”... “We danced to that song…he died the next day and there was nothing I could do to save him”...

Pausing to flick the music switch... Ianto held his hand out saying, “Come on, Jack, you said you loved this song” he caught Jack’s hand and smiled slowly, “You said the last time you danced to this was with someone you loved. That means you shouldn’t hate the song” he paused, his thumb rubbing Jack’s palm as he spoke, soothing some of the pain with just a touch, “You should cherish it.” He hesitated unsure how Jack would react to his next comment, “Dance with me in his memory?”
