Title
: From Here to There and Back Again with You
Author[personal profile] blue_fjords
Genre: Post COE "fix-it fic", sort of.
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Takes place post-Children of Earth.
Status: One shot.
Length: approx 10,300
Warnings: Spoilers for CoE.
Comment or Excerpt from fic: Without giving too much away, I chose this bit.

"You accepted me without reservation but still had the guts to stand up to me when I was wrong.” He smiled humorlessly. “You had to do a lot of standing. But you, Ianto,” and he risked opening his eyes, “you always forgave me. You always eased the load.” Ianto’s eyes were hot and damp, but he didn’t look away as Jack’s voice dropped to a whisper. “And I needed you.”

Why I've recced it?
It's a post-CoE fic, sort of "fix-it fic", but not quite. You're going to laugh and cry reading this.
This is a very satisfying and believable story. The fandom needed this, after CoE. And it's written by [personal profile] blue_fjords  whose writing is always amazing.

Title: When Even The Ashes Have Faded Away
Author: [livejournal.com profile] holdingoff
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG-13
Summary: He lets the grey show in his hair now. Each decade it slowly creeps back from his temples, around his ears to salt the waves of deep brown.
Status: Complete
Length: Oneshot
Warnings: Coda, Children of Earth
Comment or Excerpt from fic: It is beautiful. That's all i'm saying because I don't want to give too much away. It helps, in a way and it fills in some plot holes.

"I don't want to be frozen like the others. I'd prefer to be cremated if possible."

Jack quickly sat up, pushing away from the other man, "Why's that?"

Ianto's eyes reflected the scant light in the room, "I don't want you living with ghosts. Ashes can't haunt you, Jack."

Title: The Haunting of Woman Wept
Author: [livejournal.com profile] holdingoff
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Sequel to When Even The Ashes Have Faded Away. Woman Wept had been a beautiful planet. The single landmass suggested the image of a grieving woman, hence its name.
Status: Complete
Length: Oneshot
Warnings: Coda, Children of Earth
Comment or Excerpt from fic: I actually like this one better. I just love what Jack does in it. This part broke my heart to bits.

"I carve his words into the caves because they were private. No one enters the caves except me, so they are still private and they'll be here forever. Even after the universe is nothing more than darkness and ice, his words will still be there- only the ice."
