Comment or Excerpt from fic: Oooooh, such an intriguing first chapter! It starts off very mysterious and immediately after reading it, I remembered "The Sixth Sense" dialogue - "I see dead people..." ^^;; Anyway, it sounds very interesting and I'm eagerly waiting to read the next part.

EXCERPT:

... he’d been pulled from the warmth of his bed... but now he couldn’t remember why... he thought he saw a woman in the glass... He closed his eyes as he heard the way his name filled his senses and called to him, almost begging in its delivery... Ianto was about to reply when he saw her standing... her shoulder length dark hair hanging around her face. His eyes were wide as he took in... her lithe frame...

“Ianto…” she called as she reached out one hand towards him... “Ianto help me please…” she called again as she turned and made to walk away.

Ianto felt a wave of intense sadness washed over him as he saw the woman turn her back on him and then just as suddenly as she had appeared she was gone. His head pounded with an intensity he’d not felt since the Breacons, it was as if he had suffered a head wound.

Straight into the GUT! *wince* Very unexpected beginning, so now I'm even more eager to read what happened. But...! BUT...! MY POOR JANTOOOOOO FANGIRLISH HEART!!! *whimpers*

He muttered under his breath about... his colleagues... they knew he had plans for later. Thinking about those plans, however, soothed his ruffled feelings, bringing a smile to his face. His life had taken an unexpected turn, and it took him a while to come to grips with that – but now he was looking forward to the joys and challenges waiting for him... Ianto turned... almost running into his captain... and... felt a familiar flutter in his stomach and the quickening of his heart beat. The fact that he still reacted like this to Jack’s mere presence embarrassed him, and he glanced quickly away... and escaped the Hub to prepare... He was distracted, planning, worrying – and he didn’t notice Jack watching him leave. He didn’t notice Gwen walk up behind him, cross her arms and frown.

“You don’t deserve his love, Jack.”

“I know.”
