Comment or Excerpt from fic: This one took me a while to read because it's sooo long but it's so enjoyable! It takes place after the Lisa Incident, and goes on throughout the two seasons til the end of Season Two, picking up missing scenes from episodes. :D I love fics where we see how and why Ianto changes from the guy he was in the first episode of Season one to the strong, confident, kick-ass Ianto from Season Two. :) The last scene made me cry because of Tosh and Owen. :( Definitely worth reading!!!

Returning to Torchwood after she'd died hadn't been a choice. He'd merely yielded to the inevitability of his situation. He could no more outrun the consequences of his actions than he could change the phases of the moon, and when he'd shown up for work that day, he'd had very clear expectations. At the very least, he assumed he'd be retconned and removed from Torchwood Three completely. That was his best hope; in truth, he'd expected indefinite imprisonment in a UNIT facility or exile. He had no reason to believe that anyone at Torchwood would speak for him, nor would he expect them to ever trust him again.

Comment or Excerpt from fic: First Rec!! I read this one in Fanfiction.net and it's good!! It's a collection of short stories, most of them are oneshots, but some of them are multi-parters. We get smut, first dates, kick-ass ianto, fluff, etc; a little of everything!
Seriously, it's a very good fic, and I was surprised that it was in fanfiction.net LOL. The excerpt is from the first Oneshot of the Short Stories series.

“Flowers?” Ianto couldn’t keep the startled tone from his voice when he opened his door to find Jack standing there with a bouquet of mixed flowers in his hand. (He was on time, too, even though Ianto had spent the better part of the last hour convincing himself that Jack would either be late or not show up at all.)

“I was under the impression that flowers were part of twenty-first century dating customs,” Jack quipped back with a sly grin. “Have I been misinformed?”

Ianto frowned. “No. No, flowers are part of ‘twenty-first century dating customs.’ Erm…Would you like to come in…?” he asked, a bit hesitantly.

“Don’t mind if I do,” Jack flashed another one of those grins, the kind of smile that had gotten under Ianto’s skin and had refused to go away… but that had been a lifetime ago. After Jack left, everything had changed.
