EXCERPT:

Gwen had a blistering headache. She’d even given it a name – Janto for Jack and Ianto. For almost a week, her teammates had been fighting and alternating between bitter sniping, screaming matches, and frosty silences. Once more, as both men had indicated in several exchanges, they were not having sex (Gwen was pretty sure that was Ianto’s idea...). The lack of any physical release for their emotions was making them extra cranky with everyone... Gwen had tried gentle prodding, snooping in the CCTV footage, and even veiled threats to discover the source of the fight, but she’d come up empty. “Damn stubborn male pride,” she thought. Since Tosh and Owen, they were all each other had. She was not about to let them self-destruct over a lover’s quarrel.

Now that she was alone in the Hub for a bit, she had time to do something... Quickly, she accessed a program on her computer that Tosh had installed for her months ago and smiled.

Jack was fast asleep… when he heard his favorite Welshman’s vowels answer what could only be Ianto’s damn mobile phone. “Hello?” … suddenly he felt Ianto’s entire body go rigid, “yes… Which hospital? I’ll be right there.”

“What is it?” Jack asked… sensing his lover would need the support.

“There was an accident – I’m not really sure what happened, they…”

Jack grabbed a t-shirt and pair of jeans… “… your shoes are by the door, I’ll drive.”

“You don’t-“

Jack stopped, his hand pressed to Ianto’s bare chest… “I am. Let’s go.”

Ianto didn’t reply, they grabbed their jackets to fend off the cool October air, and were out of the flat within moments. “St. Agnes’ A&E”
