Title: Torchwood 3 v.2
Author: [livejournal.com profile] butterflycell
Genre: Cross-over, Romance, Humor, General
Rating: PG-13
Other/Implied Pairings: N/A
Summary: The Earth is back where it belongs and the Hub's a tip. Ianto and Gwen set to work whilst waiting for Jack.
Status: COMPLETE
Length: One-shot
Word Count: ~ 2,076
Warnings: spoilers for Doctor Who 4x12 "The Stolen Earth" & 4x13 "Journey's End," post-DW 4x13 "JE" and Torchwood 2x13 "Exit Wounds"
Comment or Excerpt from fic: Just a one-shot post-DW 4x13 that has Gwen and Ianto meet Mickey for the first time. I LOVE Mickey's assumption that if you're a super hero, there should be "some hot chick waiting to swoon into your arms." *LOL* Obviously, he's never met Ianto who's so much hotter than any chick! ~__^

EXCERPT:

“Seriously, you live down here?” The man was saying sceptically...Martha snorted at him and Jack raised his eyebrows.

“Yeah, what’s it to you? Every good super hero needs a secret base.”...

“Super hero? Whatever, but don’t you have to have some hot chick waiting to swoon into your arms or something?” Those words received another snort of laughter from Martha... and a roguish grin and a wink from Jack... who... was moving towards... a young man... and... kissed him hard, their arms moving round each other instinctively. “Okay, so you have the guy then.”

Title: Thoroughly Impressed
Author: [livejournal.com profile] misswinterhill
Genre: Gap-filler, Romance, Slight Angst, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort
Rating: R
Other/Implied Pairings: Owen/Gwen, implied Mary/Tosh
Summary: Jack and Ianto have dinner three times. That's the story. An attempt to explain what happened behind the scenes.
Status: Complete
Length: One-shot
Word Count: ~ 4,595
Warnings: Post-Torchwood 1x07 "Greeks Bearing Gifts" but Pre-1x08 "They Keep Killing Suzie," spoilers for BBCA Captain's Blog for "Greeks Bearing Gifts"
Comment or Excerpt from fic: This is one of those gap-filler fics that you know probably didn't happen, but wish it DID because you just love your OTP and would read anything with a little fluff and romance and squeal. Janto's three not-so-dates...

EXCERPT:

“Ianto... You got plans tonight?”

Ianto’s smile didn’t falter, although he did... “Trick question, sir,” he said. Jack looked hopeful. “Are you genuinely interested in my personal life, or are you checking to see if I’m available to help you sort something out?”

“I want to know if you’d like to get a meal,” said Jack. “It’d just be you and me, though...”

“I have a roast that if I don’t cook it tonight, I’ll have to throw it out,” said Ianto...

“Oh,” said Jack. He sounded almost disappointed... “Okay...” Jack turned to go, and Ianto did something that he knew might be a mistake. He cleared his throat. Jack stopped, turned back. Raised an eyebrow.

“I know my cooking isn’t brilliant, but you could at least give me a time,” Ianto said pointedly.

Jack broke into a grin.

Title: Window to Your Right
Author: [livejournal.com profile] liadan14
Genre: Gap-filler, Angst, Drama, Hurt/Comfort, some Fluff
Rating: PG-13
Other/Implied Pairings: N/A
Summary: A collection of Ianto's dealings with Flat Holm.
Status: COMPLETE
Length: One-shot
Word Count: ~ 2,453
Warnings: spoilers through Torchwood S2 until 2x11 "Adrift," pre-S2, post: 1x06 "Countrycide," 1x13 "End of Days," 2x11 "Adrift"
Comment or Excerpt from fic: This is a brilliantly written fic that begins with a little back-story of how Flat Holm came to be, but mostly follows Ianto and how he came to know about it and all the way through Adrift when Gwen finds-out it and the aftermath. I LOVE how the fic flows, especially with time-skips it has. Very beautiful and emotional.

~*~*~*~*~

EXCERPT:

He’d told him about Flat Holm after the cannibals. Suzie had known... had helped him to organize it all. The idea was Jack’s... but Suzie ran the rest... Then she was gone... It was a lot of work... more than it looked like, and he was used to having help... he considered his options. He could tell no one... But that wasn’t really in the realm of possibility, because he knew they were nearing the time when a suitable version of the Doctor might show up, and if he kept it to himself there was no one to take care of the victims at Flat Holm. That and the more selfish, pressing reason: Jack couldn’t do it alone... he could not handle going to see the victims on his own...

Option two, tell... Ianto. Ianto, both youngest and oldest... betrayer and betrayed, wise and yet so young... Jack... wondered what the hell he was supposed to do, when a... voice... said, “Jack? What’re you doing?”

“I need your help, Ianto.”
