I mean, an AI~ish Ianto who can't age and die and who's been asleep until a mere touch of Jack's woke him! *____* How very Sleeping Beauty~ish, except without the kiss, but I'm not complaining! If that doesn't say true love (and it IS since Ianto never woke up from anyone else's touch!), I don't know WHAT is!

He walked along another one of the endless corridors... It smelt of life... He headed to the door... Opening it cautiously, Jack looked around... In the centre of the room was a large table... Machines were plugged in all around it, Jack noticed them straight away as life support machines. He didn't know whether he should be pleased that their was a steady heartbeat... He stepped closer to the body... It was a human... Pale features, brown matted hair. Perfect skin... He couldn't tell the age, he looked young, but old at the same time. His fingers brushed against the cold skin... He was freezing, yet radiating warmth. His eyes and mouth shot open. Breathing in deep as though it was his first breath he looked at Jack.

“Are you okay?” Jack asked, the man looked like he was in pain...

“Run... Run!... I have to run...” The man repeated. “... we have to run...”

Comment or Excerpt from fic: Well, now this is a truly brilliant, BRILLIANT fic! It's one of the very few stories I read that has Ianto and Jack meet at Torchwood 1 before the whole Torchwood series. It's an AU fic that disregards the battle at Canary Wharf and the deaths of Jack's original team at Torchwood 3. The first meeting between our Jack and Ianto takes place when Jack is temporarily recruited to work on a highly specialized project called Project Hades with one Ianto Jones. The first meeting start with a BANG (literally) and sparks fly! This is such an addictive fic, one I want to read and read and wish the author would just post the whole damn story in it's entirety so I can keep reading!

EXCERPT:

“So... You can die.”

... “Everyone can die.” He says simply, “But unlike everybody else I can do it more than once.”

She narrows her eyes... and inherently Jack knows he doesn’t like her. He trusts her, but he doesn’t like her...

“You understand... We have to make sure.”

Jack doesn’t understand what she means. Or perhaps he does, but his mind hasn’t come to terms with it yet...

“Jones,” she says sharply, “kill him.”

Neither a flicker of protest nor a murmur of question when the man, no, boy... moves, and for a fraction of a second as the gun is raised and the trigger squeezed, their eyes connect and Jack feels something. But there’s no time to figure out if it’s anger, fear or even betrayal before the bullet shatters his skull.

It's a heartbreaking fic and as stated in the warnings, this is no light-hearted story, so bear that in mind!
