Comment or Excerpt from fic: Oh this is a gorgeous fic. So emotional and beautiful... The way Ianto's portrayed, the fact that he goes out of his way to take care of everyone else while reigning his own feelings of hurt and despair, is just heartbreaking...

Oh yes... and Owen's a bastard! >__<

“I’m sorry.”

Jack turned... Suddenly noticing the very obvious distress the younger man was in... asked softly, ”For what?”

Ianto didn’t look at him but replied, "For this... For thinking that this would help. Stupid of me really,” added Ianto bitterly, “I thought that maybe a few hours away from the Hub, away from anything alien would make things better…but it hasn’t. It’s just made it worse. I was only trying to help. Please, Jack - I didn’t mean to make it worse…” he searched Jack’s face then turned away murmuring, ”I’m sorry, I just thought maybe it would make the darkness go away for a few hours at least…”

Jack... reached out and touched Ianto shoulder, saying softly almost tenderly, ”You haven't done anything wrong, Ianto.” The look Ianto gave him almost broke his heart – it was pure and utter despair.
