Mod Post: 200 Recs~!

YES~!

We have reached 200 recs in this community~! (Also over 400 members, w00t!) I'm so glad more people have come out and started reccing fics~! (And commenting on the recs xD) I think this is the biggest TW reccomendations community in the fandom and I'm so happy~!

Thanks to all of you members for keeping the community active, but I especially would like to thank:
astuta, cadrina, cls_tweedy, desertpoet, finiz, firredheadedelf, frenzied, ihazatardis, ivegotthemusic, jaimie2i, joesther, magnolian_lily, maidmarian158, phantomreviewer, pinkfairy727, taynna, and txrabbit for participating in this community by reccing along with myself. :D

Now I have a question for you members. I was wondering if you would like to rec fics with other pairings as the focus of the fic? Like maybe some Owen/Tosh, Owen/Gwen, 10/Tosh etc as the main pairing and Jack/Ianto on the side? *No Jack/Other, Ianto/Other as the main focus* Or would you like to keep this community strictly Jack/Ianto-centered fics? I was thinking about this since I don't think there's another active community dedicated to recs on this fandom other than this one but I know there are a few.  Or maybe create another community for other pairings/recs with the same tag system, etc? (Thanks to kensieg for this idea!)

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Commenting will be screened, like always, so only I will be able to see your comments.

BTW, for those of you who are not members of the community, just to let you know if you didn't read my note that there are some entries/recs that are F-Locked so you'll have to join the community to see them. Or go to the REC masterlist, the ones that are locked have a note in BOLD saying 'FRIENDS-LOCKED'

Comment or Excerpt from fic: What can I say, I absolutely adore kid fics! After the events of 2x13, I'm even more hooked on this story since it's Owen-centric. I did wish that it was longer, though, and was awfully tempted to ask the author to expand on the idea. *LOL*

“Take this." Jack pushed a bundle into a startled Ianto’s arms. “Everything good out here?” Jack looked around.

“Yes sir, erm…” Ianto glanced down at a brown haired child that seemed to be wrapped in Owen’s jacket.

“Watch over him. Give us fifteen more minutes to clean up inside.” Jack kept watching all around until his eyes landed on Ianto. “Thanks!” He grinned and surprised Ianto by giving him a quick kiss. “We’ll be out soon enough.”

Jack gave a hopeful grin that made Ianto groan. Something had gone wrong. Jack called over his shoulder “Did you figure out that it’s not just Owen’s jacket?”

Ianto glanced up but Jack was gone. He looked down and saw a very frightened little boy wrapped in, not only Owen’s jacket, but clothes in sizes too big. The clothes were Owen’s as well.

Comment or Excerpt from fic: Aah, another kid fic! Must admit that this was the very first Torchwood!Kid fic I read. When you read Kid!fics, it's usually about the kids of the TW3 members, so this was new. There is just something about the actual Torchwood 3 team themselves turning into kids... *laughs* Reading about Kid!Jack is always wonderful because for one, you don't see many of them at all and secondly, you get to see snippets of a life that is usually a whole 180 from what is shown in the actual show. Of course I must admit, what made this fic even more appealing was the slight Gwen-bashing... *coughs sheepishly*

Comment or Excerpt from fic: Okay, don't let my summary of the fic fool you (The author didn't have a summary) This is an EXCELLENT MPREG FIC, one of the most In Character  mpreg fics that I've ever read.  Exactly how I would imagine Ianto taking the news, and I love it that he doesn't become a crybaby/emotional and stuff, he takes it normally and doesn't want anyone to see how scared he is, he's not panicking in front of anyone and stuff and I love how Jack becomes so supportive and that it seemed he wants the baby more than Ianto did. (And I like it when he's protective):D And the reason why Ianto got pregnant? totally possible in the Torchwood Universe. For people who don't like MPREG, I STILL URGE U TO READ THIS NOW!
