Title: The Burial of the Dead (The Waste Land)
Author:
misswinterhill
Genre: Angst
Rating: PG
Summary: Fic based on Eliot's The Waste Land. This fic is just based on the first section and it is a collection of broken images. Quotes in here are from the poem.
Status: Complete, One-Shot
Warnings: Oblique spoilers for all of TW and DW season 1 and season 3 finale
Comment or Excerpt from fic: Yet another fantastic fic by
misswinterhill. This is angsty and heart-wrenching, but oh so worth it!
Where Jack was concerned, April was the cruelest month. Ianto knew that if Jack left him, it would be in April. A cynical little part of Ianto always added that if Jack left him in April, he’d be back by October when the days drew in and the promises that April had made were left unfulfilled. Jack would look at the first flowers of the season, would bring flowers home for Ianto and pronounce them already dead.
Like Jack was.
