Comment or Excerpt from fic: Well, it's based on that scene in said episode. I really don't blame Ianto for being as bitter as he was, really.

EXCERPT:
When Ianto walked in the Hub next morning, the first thing he noticed was the bunch of colourful confetti lying on the ground. He wondered what it was all about for a moment, but then just shook his head and thought about Jack and his slightly crazy ideas. He kept going towards Jack’s office... but the computer in the other room beeped. Ianto hurried towards it.
“Weevils!” he called back, but Jack was already by his side, his hand once again on Ianto’s shoulder.
“It seems we’ve got work to do,” Jack smiled at Ianto, pushing him towards the exit.
“It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it has, but not anymore. Come on.” He pushed him one more time and they went together through the oval door.
