Comment or Excerpt from fic: WHOA! The title shoulda given it away, but I was quite ignorant and it made me go, "HOLY SHIT! O_____O" So, Ianto becomes a victim of the rift and upon his return, he seems more normal than any of the previously known victims. But this normalcy hides a secret that is uncovered when Gwen is hurt and now Ianto is as abnormal as they come.

EXCERPT:

When Ianto Jones fell through the Rift during a negative spike in activity, Captain Jack Harkness knew he had to get him back. Not because he was his lover, but because he didn’t want him to end up lost forever among the stars. He had to find a way to get him back before it was too late. No one deserved that fate.

But without a trail to follow, finding him was near to impossible. Three months passed without a lead to go on, and the team lost hope. Jack, forever the optimist, kept Ianto’s coffee mug and personnel information in the computer as an active member, even though he knew if Ianto came back after that long he probably wouldn’t be the same.
