I want to love him but the thought frightens me. He’s for forever and always and I know I’m not enough for him. I don’t want to hurt him by loving him too much...
I raise a hand and caress his cheek. “Give me a reason to love you,” I whisper.
Suddenly, Jack opens his eyes and looks at me. He’s smiling softly. “I’m here,” he says... He lurches forward and kisses me, tongue pressing gently into my mouth... “I’ll always be here.”
