“I’m sick and tired of people not making their own decisions... and I can’t do it any more... I can’t keep making decisions for everyone,” murmured Jack... "I can’t do it…I just….”

Jack stepped away... the admission had taken the fight out of him. He looked so tired Ianto forced himself to bite his lip to stop himself whimpering. He hated seeing Jack in pain of any sort... Mental pain he couldn’t make better with kisses... Slowly an idea formed... It was a risk and he wasn’t sure he could pull it off but he knew it was what was needed. It was what Jack needed him to do.

He stepped forward, taking Jack’s hand said softly, “Let me help... Let me help ease the burden... I don’t mean just work, Jack. I mean everything. For one night, just let go of everything. No decisions, no thinking, nothing - just let go. Let me take care of everything... Let me take care of you.”

Ianto was a right bastard at times.

He knew it, Jack knew it. Thankfully, they both loved it... when the hub got quiet... when Ianto would get restless, the need to do something overpowering. He was taught that idle hands are the devil’s tools, so he kept busy... But... even Ianto had to branch out... Let the devil come out and play.

Sometimes he just liked to push Jack to see how far he would go.

Tonight he had an idea... a problem Ianto had purposely created... Nothing that... caused anyone any harm, simply a flicker of the lighting system... he also tweaked the environmental controls so the heat was higher than normal... There was something quite appealing about a hot and sticky Jack
